Forbes calls long-time institutional investor Jon Lukomnik one of the pioneers of modern corporate governance. Jon is the managing partner of Sinclair Capital LLC, a strategic consultancy to institutional investors, and a Senior Fellow at the High Meadows Institute.
Jon has been the investment advisor or a trustee for more than $100 billion in institutional assets under management and has consulted to institutional investors with aggregate assets of nearly a trillion dollars. He served for more than a decade as the executive director of the IRRC Institute where he commissioned more than 80 studies examining corporate governance and the capital markets. He is a member of the Deloitte Audit Quality Advisory Committee and a trustee on the Van Eck mutual funds and European UCITs. He was previously a member of the Standing Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, a long-time officer of the Council of Institutional Investors, and the Pembroke Visiting Professor in International Finance at the Judge Business School at Cambridge. He has written three books examining the financial sector and asset management (one of which was a Financial Times “pick of the year”) and more than 200 academic and practitioner articles. He has been honored three times by the National Association of Corporate Directors as one of the 100 most influential people in Corporate Governance. He has also been honored by the CII, DCRO, Ethisphere, ICGN, Global Proxy Watch, and Transparency Task Force (UK), among others.
