As a Qualified Risk Expert™, you demonstrate exceptional ability to serve on a board risk committee, merging advanced risk governance and risk management knowledge with the pursuit of strategic goals - embracing the positive governance of risk-taking®.
To receive permission to use this global designation, you must first earn the Certificate in Risk Governance®. You must pass an exam on the DCRO Institute Guiding Principles for Board Risk Committees and also have the following minimum work experience:
- At least three years of experience as a Chief Risk Officer, Head of Risk Management, or equivalent
- At least ten years of experience in risk management
You must also submit letters of recommendation from board and C-suite colleagues regarding your risk expertise and readiness to serve.
